You can see what he says, but what's surprising is that Canon is apparently not moving on to name it 5D Mark II as with the original 5D, but instead naming it 7D!
Who knows this may be a cheap and entry level FF dSLR, while perhaps a 3D may be launched later on to slot between the 1Ds and 7D as with the original 5D back then.

Ouch. Turns out he was not a staff and this may be just a rumour...damn.
Well..to sastify some people's wait for the successor here's a probable details of the new model

5fps, 21.1mp, 19pt AF, 3.2" LCD, etc etc

USM is merely a highly regarded senior member in clubsnap .. But as long as no official news are made .. Everything is merely a rumor .. Although there are plenty of clues with regards to the new FF camera by canon .. The only thing we can do is to wait .. The most probable date for new releases would be Photokina 2008 which will happen in 23 Sep .. I am really hoping the rumors are true and will be 2 new FFs camera as well .. Ha..

i have set my eyes on my darling 40D and it shall stay that way LOL. it may turn old.. but hu cares!

me now looking for lenses onli. lmao.

even with a XD cammie its gonna be used almost as intensively as a XXD cammie.

yeaaa... apart from the sensor... the shutter speed and everything is quite out... compared to 40D lol.
