i guess composition is there but maybe framing? you could try to find an isolated tree. then picture the whole tree. as you can see your top have been chopped off. unless close up or filling up the frame. or for other purpose. else i dun think it would be nice to cut the top off. is like.. a body without a head. =) just my opinion.

i dont know is it over compressed or really out of focus, but i see some lost of details in sky.

may be you can try to take this photo with -0.3EV, or even more, to allow larger allowance for post-processing. you may be able to get a better color for the sky =)
