of cos sunday! whats the pt of going without seeing the actual raft race
Hi people! Sidetrack a little, I logged in my gmail to find at least 30 of registered in the forums just this weekend. Wow!
anyway, I understand many see the situation as
"Why shoot on Saturday when the race is on Sunday?"Allow me to clarify

The purpose of this outing is just to expose whoever interested in event photography to an opportunity.
Definitely, Sunday would be the best day. But this does not mean that Saturday is a boring day. There are still competitions going on the Saturday although its not the Raft race itself.
Bottomline, its still event photography though it's not the river raft race.
So, the organising chair for this event (fila herself =] )
actually saw this problem but does not wanna limit the options to sunday, thus explains her decision to open up for both days for the members' flexibility. For those who are coming on Sunday, it would be great chance for urself to see how hectic event photography can be.
For those coming on Saturday, it would not be as hectic, but definitely, you would still be covering the event and activities going on.
Last thing that's important, take note that Fila also mentioned all photos taken in the event will be collected after the outing =)Hope I help sort things out there
